Welcome to Ashley Hoskins Photography. If you knew my company as Blackbird Photography there is no need to worry, you are in the right place. I have made the change from Blackbird Photography to Ashley Hoskins Photography so that I will be easier to find for my clients. Nothing but the name has changed. You will still get the same personal attention and creative visual images that you are looking for!

At Ashley Hoskins Photography, it is my aim to take care of you in the best way possible. I want to capture the moments of your special day in a way that is fun, relaxed, and real.

meet stephanie and johnathan. a few weeks ago i shot their wedding in nashville at the beautiful riverwood mansion in nashville, tn. i grew up with johnathan's sister lauren and think that the last time that i saw him, i was about 12 years old. next thing i know, i'm shooting his wedding. it was such a fun day! the weather was a little touch and go for a while, but it turned out to be absolutely beautiful!! it was definitely HOT and HUMID, but hey, we'll take it! i have had such a great time getting to know stephanie and it just made it that much sweeter for me personally, to get to photograph their wedding. i loved seeing how happy johnathan and his family was. i loved seeing how excited stephanie was to marry johnathan. it really was just a happy day. anyway, here are a few of my favorites.

i think this next one might be my favorite.....

emily and erik. knoxville wedding

wedding season is officially up and running and i am doing my best to stay caught up on everything! i had the awesome privilege of shooting an old high school friends wedding a couple of weeks ago. emily booked me over a year ago and i have been excited about their wedding ever since. emily is oh so cool and has such great and unique taste. she is an amazing artist and i do have to say, i am always a little bit intimidated when i shoot for any kind of artist! but i do have to say, emily is just so sweet, soooo laid back, and so fun, i felt pretty at ease the whole day. erik is pretty great as well. he has such a sweet demeanor and i just couldn't be happier that they both found each other!!! they got married at the new st. john newman church in farragut and i was so excited to shoot there. it is just gorgeous!! here are some of my favorites!!

i just LOVED these two photos. the look on emily's face, the light, everything.

yea, i mean, she is seriously GORGEOUS!!!!

i just loved their little looks at each other during the ceremony....

the now stephanie farmer :) bridal portrait session

this past weekend i shot a beautiful wedding in nashville at the gorgeous riverwood mansion. it was touch and go there for a while as far as the weather goes, but we lucked out. the rain held off and stephanie and johnathon got to have the outdoor ceremony they were hoping for! i'll be posting photos from there wedding soon, but first i wanted to share with you stephanie's bridal portrait session we shot a few weeks ago. stephanie is just so beautiful and made for just a perfect bride. here are a few of my favs from our time together!

i loved both of these so much, i couldn't decide between the color or black and white, so i thought, oh why not, i'll just post them both!!

caroline and lawrence. knoxville wedding.

i was just noticing that it has been a while since i have posted on actual wedding on the blog. well have no fear. there are LOTS of weddings to come. i kicked of my wedding season on april 24th. it rained pretty much all day long, but caroline and lawrence were so excited to get married it didn't matter. their wedding was so sweet and i just felt honored to be around such a beautiful couple. it were the sweet moments of their day that were my favorite. caroline and lawrence, i wish you both the very best!

i loved these from their first look. lawrence was just soooo sweet.

caroline is just such a classic beauty. i thought she just looked stunning.

my sister whitney did a really good job on these last two shots!

The Dirty Guv'nahs. Best Band in Knoxville!

The Dirty Guv'nahs were just voted the Best Band in Knoxville for the 3rd year in a row. They were also voted Best Rock Band and Best local CD release! I cannot tell you how proud I am of these guys. They work so hard and are so passionate about what they do. It has been an unbelievable ride since April of 2005!!!! which was their very first show. Their list of accomplishments keeps getting longer and longer and it has been a true honor to be there every step of the way with them. As most of you know, they spent much of the month of December up in Woodstock, NY at the Levon Helm Studio recording an album. That album will finally be out in late July, and I can tell you right now, you are going to be BLOWN away!!!!!!

The Dirty Guv'nahs have also had a recent addition to the band. His name is Cozmo Holloway and has been a long time friend of the band. So with the release of the new CD we needed to take some new pictures of the band with our new member. We went up to Chris Doody's farm last week and had some amazing light. Here are some of my favorite shots!

the one on the left is pretty hot huh?? yea, that would be my husband! :)
