Welcome to Ashley Hoskins Photography. If you knew my company as Blackbird Photography there is no need to worry, you are in the right place. I have made the change from Blackbird Photography to Ashley Hoskins Photography so that I will be easier to find for my clients. Nothing but the name has changed. You will still get the same personal attention and creative visual images that you are looking for!

At Ashley Hoskins Photography, it is my aim to take care of you in the best way possible. I want to capture the moments of your special day in a way that is fun, relaxed, and real.

my best friend is getting married!

ahhh!!! my best friend is getting married! maggie and i have been best friends for 12 years now. we have gone on countless roadtrips together, lived together throughout all of college, and talk on the phone multiple times a day. if it is something great that has happened, i call maggie. if i am sad, i call maggie. if i ate something that was really really good, i call maggie. an hour later, after i feel bad for eating that really good thing, i call maggie. she is that go-to friend that i just cannot live without. she is cute as can be and the most fun friend you can ask for. then, a couple years ago, maggie met will. when i saw how happy will made maggie and how much fun they had together, i just knew it. they were gonna get hitched. so here we are! 2 1/2 months away from their wedding! maggie and will live in nashville (sigh...one day i need to get her back!) so we thought it would be fun to do their engagement session there! i felt the need to start off this post with some photos of us at our best :)

allison and john engagement session

so a couple weeks ago, i had the adventure of going to place i have never been before! i met allison and john at his parent's farm in kodak, tn. it was so beautiful out there! john grew up on his parents farm and they thought it would be the perfect place to get some engagement photos taken. i have to say, they were right! i just LOVE a good field and there were great fields, an old cool barn, an awesome truck, i mean, what more can you ask for! after playing on the farm we headed downtown for some fun photos in the old city. allison and john are just so fun and in love, i just can't wait til their wedding in July!

chris and elizabeth. engagement session

i have been so excited about these two getting married it is not even funny! chris is in the dirty guv's with my husband and one of my favorite things about him being in the band has been getting to know his oh so awesome fiance! not only is elizabeth drop dead gorgeous, but she is seriously one of the most fun people you will ever meet. chris's family owns a farm in townsend and we just knew it would be the perfect place for their engagement session. we had the most perfect weather and the farm was just absolutley gorgeous. hot couple + beautiful tennessee = engagement session heaven!! here are just some of my favs!

i love you both and cannot wait until your wedding!!

lauren and tyler. engagement session

i have known lauren for many years now. my sister, whitney, and lauren are the same age and we all grew up in the same neighborhood together. it is still a strange thing to see my sister and her friends to grow up, fall in love, get married, all that good stuff. i still envision them as these cute little middle schoolers getting dressed up for a big dance! i do have to say i was so excited when it worked out for me to photograph lauren's wedding. she is so cute, creative, sweet, and fun. i had heard such great things about tyler as well, and i do have to say, they all seem to be true. lauren had a great vision for her engagement session and i am just so happy that the weather held out long enough for us to bring it to life. i just had the best time hanging out with them, photographing their sweet love for each other. i can't WAIT til their wedding!!

so, justin and i took a nice vacation last week to be able to spend some time together before our busy seasons get here and then came home and shot a wedding and an engagement session this weekend. while going through the engagement session, i just had to post a couple because i got really excited! here is just a little tease, but don't worry, i will be back with more!!
