I realize it has been entirely too long since I have updated my blog. But, I think I have a pretty good reason! I had a baby! Our sweet Jackson Marshall Hoskins was born on his due date, December 11th, 2011. It was the greatest day of my life and I have just loved every minute of becoming a mother. 2012 is going to be a crazy year full of changes and transitions but I am still going to be shooting weddings and have a couple of openings left for the year if you are interested!! I feel so lucky to be able to have a job that I love and be a mom at the same time. Our family feels so blessed to have the oppurtunity to pursue all of our dreams in starting a family and continue in the careers that we love. Here is a little bit of what has been going on the last month :)

We are getting a big addition this year! We are expecting a baby boy! Justin and I couldn't be happier that we will have a little baby boy here before Christmas. December seems so far away, but to think that it will be here in less than 4 months just blows my mind! Jackson Marshall Hoskins is due December 11th. I can't wait to go through this next chapter of our life with all of you. Justin and I have really appreciated all the support you have given us over the last few years with my business and his band and can't for this next part of our journey!

Hello everyone and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I hope you all had a great Christmas and really fun New Year's Eve! The holidays were crazy around the Hoskins house with trips, sickness, and an awesome show at the bijou with the Dirty Guv's! I promise now that the holidays have come and gone, I will be back to the blogging world catching you up on some fun things that have been going on. In the meantime, just thought I would share with you some fun news! Just found out today that Ashley Hoskins Photography was voted Best Wedding Photographer in East Tennessee at Wedding Daily Times!

Thanks to everyone who voted! It was such a fun little surprise to see! Really energizes me for the new year and new season of weddings that is so quickly approaching. I have the greatest clients you could ever ask for and such a supporting family and community. I couldn't do this without ya'll!!

jose villa workshop. mexico 2010.

i am literally speechless when it comes to talking about my experience at the jose villa workshop. it truly was an experience of a lifetime. jose and his crew were FABULOUS, the food was amazing, the resort was amazing, and the people were just basically awesome. i went to this workshop as a sponge. i wanted to just absorb and take in everything around me. i want to be a better photographer, a better business owner, but also a better wife, daughter, and friend. finding that balance is so hard, but i really think that at this workshop, i learned a little bit of all of that.

when justin and i first walked into the hacienda, i was just floored. i had no idea what to expect, but what i saw was beyond my wildest dreams. the hospitality there really allowed us to be in a place where we could put everything else in our lives aside and focus on what we came there for. i am seriously forever grateful to everyone who was involved in the workshop. thank you for a once in a life time experience. it is one that i am sure to never forget.

(i had originally intended to do this workshop in a few posts, but decided to just combine them all into one, so sorry for the randomness :) enjoy )

ya' know, i really can't believe that i haven't blogged about him sooner. until i met my husband, he was the love of my life. i know it sounds silly, but he has gotten me through some of my hardest days as well as some of the best. there are so many days where i am beyond thankful for his love, his companionship, and his company. he really is like my child and just makes life better. his name is rex and he is my little 5 lb dog.
