Spring has finally sprung!  This year it took a while for spring to really get on it's feet.  But, as I look out my window and see all the beautiful green, it is a reminder that the rain is worth it.  This next wedding is extra special to me because the bride is an extra special girl.  Katherine was one of my Young Life girls at Webb.  I met here when she was just 14 years old and 10 years later, here she is as a STUNNING bride.  All day the words, "This is the day that the LORD has made.  I will REJOICE and be glad in it..." rang over and over in my head.  And oh how true of a statement that was.  Katherine and Brian, it was an absolute honor to photograph your wedding. I have no doubt that the Lord is going to bless you a million times over.  THANK YOU for allowing me to capture your very special day.

It snowed!  It snowed!  It really snowed!!!  If you are like me and never left your house today then you are in goooood company!  We snuggled up watching yo gabba gabba and ate pop corn and homemade snow cream.  It was the perfect snow day and wouldn't mind if it happened again a time or two before spring came.  

For now, I suggest grabbing a nice hot cup of coffee (or hot chocolate!) and get nestled in to see this next wedding.  If you like sweet family heirlooms, charming details, and most of all lots of hugs and kisses and smiling faces on a wedding day, then this is going to be your cup of tea!  I had the privilege of photographing James and Melissa's wedding last Saturday and it was an absolutely perfect day.  It was 70 degrees and sunny for starters!  This sweet, intimate, family wedding had all the makings of what make you want to say "i do" over and over.  James and I have been friends for 10 years and he is the singer of the band "The Dirty Guv'nahs" that my husband has been in for for the last 6 years.  James has literally become like family to me.  We have spent so much time together over the years, taking trips, riding in "the mule", and hanging out backstage at countless guv's shows.  I am so happy that he has married Melissa who is an absolute DOLL!!!  She is beautiful inside and out and I couldn't be more excited to welcome her to the band family!!  Sooooo happy for you two!!!

if you know Rachael, you know that she LOVES Christmas.  This was one of the best "pre-wedding husband to wife" gifts I have ever seen.  It was FULL of all things Christmas.  Christmas movies, Christmas CD's, and hot chocolate.  I'm pretty sure it was Rachael's favorite thing she saw all day.

These next few are some of my favorite moments from any wedding, but especially this one.  Look at Rachael's sister's face as they kiss for the first time as husband and wife!

and then, those first few moments that they couple have together as everyone else is coming down the aisle are always so sweet.  first moments alone as a married couple!  I love how excited they were to peer around the corner to see what was going on!

Sarah and Matt got married at the end of September on an absolutely beautiful day at one of my favorite places, The Reserve at Bluebird Hill.  Jane Hall and the crew are amazing to work with and I just absolutely love shooting there.  This was a day full of excitement, and laughter, and joy as two people came together to join as one.  It was such a fun thing to be able to photograph their day.

This wedding was actually on a beautiful summer day.  With an outdoor ceremony planned, an afternoon down pour was a little nerve wracking, but as you are going to see, it cleared up very quickly and made for an absolute beautiful wedding day.  Kate is really one of the most beautiful people I think I have ever seen.  Her sweet spirit seems to really come through in her gorgeous eyes.  Her and James were such a fun, sweet, couple and had one of the most fantastic get-away surprises I have EVER SEEN!!!

This next wedding is definitely one that will not be soon forgotten.  NOT ONLY was it the hottest day in Knoxville history, topping the charts at 107 degrees, but it was a day that was filled with adorable details, sweet sweet moments, and an even sweeter appearance by an ice cream truck!!  The day was a celebration in every sense of the word.  Holly was by far the most excited bride I have ever seen on her wedding day.  She literally squealed with excitement about every 10 minutes.  It was beyond cute.  No heat, no changes of plans, NOTHING could get Holly and Justin down on their wedding day.  They were so anxious to become husband and wife surround by their friends and family that literally nothing else mattered.  That really is what a wedding should be all about.  A true celebration of love.
