Welcome to Ashley Hoskins Photography. If you knew my company as Blackbird Photography there is no need to worry, you are in the right place. I have made the change from Blackbird Photography to Ashley Hoskins Photography so that I will be easier to find for my clients. Nothing but the name has changed. You will still get the same personal attention and creative visual images that you are looking for!

At Ashley Hoskins Photography, it is my aim to take care of you in the best way possible. I want to capture the moments of your special day in a way that is fun, relaxed, and real.

saturday i had the pleasure of shooting my dear friend, lara fray's wedding. lara is one of the prettiest people i know and she was just an absolutely stunning bride. i'm getting ready to leave for california in the morning for jessica claire's workshop, and wanted to post just a few pictures from lara and rob's wedding before i headed out of town.

here are just a few of my favorites.....there are many many many more!!!! i will have a full post ready when i come back, but here are just a few to hold you over!

mitch and sarah. wedding

last weekend i had the pleasure of shooting sarah and mitch's wedding on augusta. it was definitely a hot one being 103 degrees but it was sooooooo worth getting outside. we had great light and beautiful skies which made for some gorgeous pictures. sarah and mitch are dear friends of mine and i have been really looking forward to their wedding. there were so many sweet moments during their day and i just loved how both of them were so excited to get married. here are like 20 of my favorites

a little over a month ago i shot sarah's bridal portraits. i have been really excited about posting these pictures ever since then but had to hold off until after the wedding. sarah has such a fun loving personality and i really think that came through in her photos. here are some of my favs, ok, more like 20 of my favs.... =)

blake and mimi. wedding.

so, i am FINALLY blogging some of my favorite photos from blake and mimi's wedding. i felt bad that it has taken me so long to get around to it that i wanted to go ahead and get some up but i'm still working on their slideshow. i have known blake rust since, well, for a really long time. i have grown up with him and his fabulous family since i was a little kid and love each and every one of them. i met mimi sometime after her and blake started dating and fell in love with her too so you can imagine how excited i was to shoot their wedding. blake and mimi are 2 words, SOOOOO SWEET! i took about a bagillion pictures because every time i turned around they were doing something so cute. they were soooo excited to be getting married and their pictures show it. they got married at farragut presbyterian church and had their reception at hunter valley farms. it was gorgeous and so much fun and i just could not be happier for the two of them. here are some of my favorites....

beth and harrison. wedding

a couple weeks ago i shot beth and harrison's wedding. i have always felt so blessed to have such great clients who have such great families! i had such a good time getting to know them and their families over the weekend. they had a beautiful wedding at cokesbury methodist church and an awesome reception at fox den to follow. we were lucky and had great weather during the day, but were followed with a pretty bad storm after the ceremony, but we got as many shots as we could and made the best of it. here are some of my favorites.

also, i realized that there are a lot of black and whites in this post. i just loved all the great photo journalism from this wedding and thought that they just spoke louder in black and white. i've been doing that more and more lately and am loving it....what do you think???

i loved the way that beth's dad looked at her all weekend. it was so sweet. i really love shooting rehearsals. it's when the fact that you are getting ready to get married becomes real.
